What Are the Cars Going To Be Discontinued in 2020?
3. Cadillac XTS
Large luxury is what has been keeping Cadillac
XTS in the market. After small improvements were done after it extended
the discontinuation date (2017), the closure of its assembly line in
Oshawa, Ontario was a surprise.
After the CT6 became the favourite
choice and desire for SUVs was evident, Cadillac managed to sell to
3,734 units during the first quarter of 2019. This forced Cadillac to
announce its CT6 discontinuation plan only to withdraw this statement
saying, “CT6 was not going anywhere”.
4. Fiat 500
Fiat
500 is among the ionic cars to face the axe this year in North America.
The electric 500e, 500 Abarth and the standard Fiat 500 won’t be spared
either.
Despite the whooping sale of 46,999 units after its debut in
the USA 2012, it culminated with a sale of only 5,370 units in 2019. The
struggle to find its place in the US auto market has been hit with a
big blow. Fiat 500X and Fiat 124 Spider will remain in the market for an
unknown period.
If you still love the iconic Fiat 500, there is enough stock to last the whole of 2020.
